Plugins & Connectors
Everything NIBVOK can do for you — the free plugs, the read-only connectors, and the metered tools. Bring your own provider with a signup and an API key, and it plugs straight into the chat.
Connecting a provider is free — to you and to us. You bring your own account and key; we never bill a provider on our own account. Using a plugin is token-metered — that is the only cost, and the free plugs and read-only connectors stay at zero. Costs show as Free or Tokens; where a token price is not set yet it reads [TBC — Tally] — no price is invented here.
How plugins work in NIBVOK Chat
- Open NIBVOK Chat and tap the “Free plugins” button beside the composer, or just ask in plain English — NIBVOK picks the right plugin for you.
- Free plugins and read-only connectors cost nothing to run. The Premium plugins are token-metered and spend tokens from your balance — that is the only charge.
- Connecting a provider is free: it is your own account and key, and we never bill a provider on our side. Connect once, then use it from the chat.
Connect a provider
Pick a provider, sign up on their site, then paste an API key (or start OAuth). Connecting is free and costs us nothing — we store it encrypted and never show it back, only whether it is connected.
app/services/plugin_registry.py (the
single source of truth) — and expose it through app/routes/plugins.py:
POST /api/plugins/providers/{id}/connect stores a credential encrypted, per user, and
GET /api/plugins returns the catalogue. A drift test fails if a live chat plug or connector is
missing from the registry.
